June 17, 2023, 9:00am – CERT Presentation
We will meet once again at the Villages of Woodland Springs Amenity Center (VOWS) at 12209 Timberland Blvd., Fort Worth, TX 76244!
We are pleased to announce that FWPD Officer Matt Thomsen, CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) Coordinator, will be presenting at our June 17th meeting. He will cover disaster preparedness and also speak about the Fort Worth CERT program. In Fort Worth, CERT is linked to the Police Department instead of the Fire Department in other cities which keeps volunteers busy with city events and training for disaster response. Edwin Grimwood and Tony Perez, both CERT volunteers, will be on-hand to answer program questions after Matt responds to your disaster preparedness questions.
